About me
Madeline Te Whiu is a veterinary nurse based in Perth, Western Australia. Her passion for books began when she was growing up in rural South Australia. Her youngest memory of books is sitting on the lounge room floor while her mum read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
She has always had a love for reading with some of her favourite authors being Peter V Brett, Kristin Cashore, and C.L Wilson, just to name a few. Madeline was shortlisted for the WA Premier’s Prize for Emerging Writers 2023.
Praise for the assassin thief

The Assassin Thief had me feeling all of the kinds of ways. I was happy, I was sad, I was angry. Laughing, crying, laughing again. There was outrage and annoyance at what was happening. There was moments I wanted to reach into the book and hi-five Telium and potentially stab others 😉😅. I was on an absolute emotional roller-coaster the entire way through, enjoying every minute of it and not wanting to get off. Especially that ending.
I am NOT READY to leave this world! I can already see this will be a series that will get its claws in me and not ever let go.

This book takes you on a journey filled with betrayal, mystery, love, loyalty and revenge.
I absolutely adore the world this author has created and how beautifully she has written this book. .
I freaking love Telium, I’d want her as my bad ass assassin bestie.

I could gush over the writing for days! It was so gorgeously descriptive, reminiscent of Lord of The Rings at times. The language of the fae in particular deeply intrigued me, after asking the author she informed she based it on the Māori language and Latin. The result is an elegant, lyrical tongue that adds to the magical, whimsical nature of the fae.
Telium is the very definition of the badass female main character™️. Her skill as an assassin is a force to be reckoned with by itself, add her Gifts into the mix and Telium is simply terrifying in action.
